If you’re after a budget-friendly, well-designed subcompact SUV that’s packed with impressive features for its low price point, then you should be checking out a Chevy Trax for sale. This energetic and stylish small SUV has been making waves in its vehicle category since it hit the market in 2015, and for 2025, it’s back and better than ever! Chevy has continued the tradition of offering the Trax in a variety of well-designed trims, so there’s something for every shopper, regardless of driving behaviors or personal preferences. Below, we’ll dive into this year’s models to help you determine which is right for your needs.

The LS

The LS has everything you could need for a comfortable, safe, and convenient commute. This starting trim will come standard with Chevy Safety Assist, a suite of driver-assist features that help alert you to and avoid potential accidents. It includes Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking, which work together to notify you if you’re getting too close to the vehicle in front of you and can even take over braking when necessary to avoid a crash. Front Pedestrian Braking comes standard, too, helping you avoid collisions with individuals on foot.

Also, a part of Chevy Safety Assist is a Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, which will notify you if you’re drifting from your lane and provide gentle steering guidance to nudge you back into it. A Following Distance Indicator helps you keep a safe distance from vehicles in front of you, while IntelliBeam High Beam Assist has high beams that automatically turn on and off when appropriate to improve driver visibility without impeding visibility for oncoming traffic.

Additional safety features you’ll enjoy in the LS is a standard Rear Vision Camera, which helps with reversing out of driveways and parking spots––or into them. A Rear Seat Reminder alerts you to check the back seat for valuables, pets, and small children before exiting the vehicle and standard Teen Driver Technology allows you to set vehicle limits for young drivers, such as speed and volume limits, and check their behaviors on a report card.

Your drive will be calm and quiet in the LS thanks to Active Noise Cancellation, a system that detects unwanted outside noise and emits opposing frequencies to cancel it out so you can better hear your conversations or music. Speaking of music, you’ll listen to all your media on a standard four-speaker audio system. You can control your playlists easily on the eight-inch diagonal color touchscreen, where you can connect your Apple or Android device for easy smartphone mirroring. The LS is also Wi-Fi hotspot capable, so you and your passengers can connect to the internet on the road.

In the comfort department, the driver sits on a six-way manual driver’s seat, and the front-seat passenger has a four-way manual seat. You’ll control the climate via the single-zone manual climate control. And in the performance department, each of the 2025 Trax models has a 1.2L Turbo engine under the hood, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. You can consider the LS as the building blocks for the next trims, all of which either build upon the LS features or replace some of them with higher-end ones. Let’s take a look.

The 1RS

The 2025 Trax is available in two performance-oriented models: the 1RS and the 2RS. The 1RS is like the “lighter” option of the two––as well as the more affordable one. It has all the LS offers and builds on it with sporty features like 18-inch machined two-tone wheels, striking red interior accents, and RS badging with a unique grille. Plus, it comes standard with the LS convenience package, which gets you heated driver and front passenger seats, as well as a remote start system to let you activate the climate control before getting in the cabin.

Heated power outside mirrors melt ice and frost away to improve visibility on cold days. A heated steering wheel will warm up your hands, too. And rear carpeted floor mats add to the comfort and style of the rear area. If it’s a little extra convenience and pizazz you’re after, without jumping too high beyond the LS price point, consider the 1RS.

The LT

The LT is perfect for someone after a practical daily driver with plenty of creature comforts. It builds on the LS in several ways, starting with the 11-inch diagonal color touchscreen (a huge step up from the eight-inch of the LS). You’ll also move away from manual climate controls to automatic ones, giving you fewer buttons to push to get comfortable for long drives.

You’ll move from a four-speaker audio system to a six-speaker one, for better surround sound quality for your music and media. While the LS has cloth seats, the LT gets cloth/Evotex ones for a slightly more upscale look and feel. You’ll get the addition of charging-only USB ports in this trim, too. Plus, you’ll get the remote vehicle starter system found on the 1RS, allowing you to activate the climate control before getting into the cabin.

The 2RS

Moving onto the second-level performance Trax trim, the 2RS. It adds some more comfort, style, and convenience features to the 1RS, so expect everything you get in the 1RS and then some. One of these additional features is a keyless start, which lets you turn on the ignition using a push button instead of your standard key. Signature LED running daytime headlights boosts aesthetic and visibility. Plus, you’ll roll on larger, 19-inch wheels. The addition of roof-mounted side rails gives you the option to add accessories for exterior storage solutions, too.

The ACTIV

You’ll notice that the ACTIV trim and the 2RS have identical prices, and that’s because they’re really head-to-head in the value department. They simply appeal to different drivers. The 2RS is more for performance/style enthusiasts, while the ACTIV has a more adventurous style to it for outdoor enthusiasts. The ACTIV builds on the LT’s features, and the first thing you’ll notice is unique ACTIV badging, a distinct grille, and ACTIV interior accents. It gets black-painted wheels, heated outside power mirrors, and high gloss black mirror caps, too.

The inside has adventure-ready details, like a front passenger seat back map pocket to help you plan your next excursion. An eight-way power driver’s seat with two-way power lumbar controls should keep you more than comfortable for long drives. You and your front seat passenger will enjoy heated seats, too, and you can take advantage of keyless open when your keys are deep in your backpack or bag somewhere. Full Evotex seat trim here is stylish and easy to clean after messy adventures.
