If you’re looking for an energetic and affordable subcompact SUV with fuel economy, you would typically associate it with a car and the capabilities of an SUV. You should be looking at the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer. We’ve seen a lot of interest in every Chevy Trailblazer for sale from customers visiting our lot. Drivers can’t get enough of how much value Chevy has packed into a meager price tag. Plus, its distinct two-tone styling found on some trims always turns heads.

With so many SUVs currently on the market, determining which one is ideally suited for you can sometimes be challenging. Not to worry; we’re here to help. Have you been interested in checking out a Trailblazer? We’ve done our homework breaking down the perks and features of each trim so you don’t have to. If you’re unsure which Trailblazer best fits your personality, driving habits, everyday life, or style, below is a helpful trim guide for the 2024 model.

LS: The Base Trim That’s Not So Basic

The LS is the base trim of the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer and has some upper-trim vibes. Consider this the foundational, and each one moving forward will have most of what the LS has — plus more.

FWD is standard on the LS, but AWD is available. If your driving habits call for traction on all four wheels, consider opting for AWD. All trims of the Chevy Trailblazer are equipped with a 1.3L EcoTec engine. The Powertrain of the Trailblazer offers impressive fuel economy with 29 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway for a combined total of 31 MPG. The Trailblazer has three drive modes: normal, sport, and AWD. Sport improves handling, all-wheel drive boosts traction, and normal combines performance with fuel economy. The LS rolls on 17-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels.

Every trim enjoys an 11-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone compatibility, and the Chevy Safety Assist suite of driver assist features. Chevy Assist includes automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, and automatic high beams called IntelliBeam. Every trim gets an HD rear vision camera and keyless start.

If you want to take advantage of the Trailblazer’s towing ability, every trim, including the LS, has standard trailer wiring. This gives you the harness and pin you need to connect your trailer lights to your vehicle.

Every 2024 Trailblazer enjoys an impressive eight in. of ground clearance, making it ready for moderate rain or snow and bumpy roads. Finally, and possibly one of the most talked about features of the Trailblazer, the front passenger seat folds down. With the second row down, this unlocks 8.5 ft of cargo space for lengthy items.

LT: The LS and Then Some

The LT has everything the LS does but has more comfort and convenience features. In addition to a keyless start, it gets keyless open. Just have your fob on your body; you only have to touch the door handle for the vehicle to unlock. For added privacy, this trim gets you a deeply tinted rear window. On cold days, the heated outside mirrors can melt away frost and snow, which might interfere with your visibility. This trim is certainly winter-ready and has the available LT Cold Weather Package. This gets you a heated steering wheel, driver, and front passenger seat. Plus, it has a wrapped shift knob.

This is the first trim where wireless device charging shows up as available. Remote start is standard on this trim, meaning you can turn on the ignition (and start the climate control) before getting in your vehicle. The LT trim has 17-inch high gloss black aluminum wheels with machined faces. It also has standard roof-mounted side rails for more cargo capabilities.

RS: The LT and Then Some

If you’re looking for everything the LT trim offers, along with performance-oriented styling with more comfort and convenience, check out the RS. The attractive RS trim adds many distinct aesthetic features, including a high-gloss black mesh grille with a dark chrome grill bar. Available items include a contrasting roof color. With stunning red accents, you’ll find RS badging on the outside and the inside. New roof options include Mosaic Black Metallic and Crimson Metallic roofs.

The RS rolls on 19-inch high-gloss black machined aluminum wheels that make a memorable impression.

Inside, you’ll find a heated and wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel. Pair that with the dual outlet exhaust, and it’s clear that the RS trim appeals to performance enthusiasts.

You can add the available Adaptive Cruise and Sound Package here. It gets you adaptive cruise control, which takes over distance control and pre-set speed requirements. It also has the Bose premium 7-speaker sound system for a terrific surround-sound listening experience.

You’ll find a standard 8-way power driver’s seat, making it easy for the driver to get into the ideal angle and height to fight body fatigue on long trips.

The hands-free power programmable liftgate also becomes available on the RS trim. With this liftgate, you can not only open the trunk with a kicking motion beneath the door but also program it to open to a predetermined height.

ACTIV: The Off-Road Trim

Now, we get to the Trailblazer’s off-road trim. The ACTIV has everything the LT has, plus some off-road-ready features. One of these features is off-road suspension tuning, which is ready to handle rough situations. Additional items include a functional skid plate to protect the undercarriage of your vehicle and sport terrain tires for better command on various surfaces.

Stylistically, this trim gets front and rear black bowtie emblems, ACTIV badging, and LED taillamps, adding to its aesthetic and functionality in low-light settings. With titanium chrome-plated front and rear lower fascias, it’s a striking trim that will turn heads.

On the inside, the style surprises continue with a satin silver and chrome-wrapped shift knob.

Some drivers assume you must commit to a larger truck or SUV to get off-road capability. The ACTIV trim of the Trailblazer is proof positive that smaller SUVs are just as capable of handling the rough terrains that are commonly associated with off-roading. You’ll be ready to leave the paved roads far behind.
