This model has body-color door handles, with keyless open functionality on all four doors to easily access your SUV.

The LS features a seven-inch infotainment display with a six-speaker sound system and a 3.5-inch monochromatic Driver Information Center screen. You get premium cloth seating in the LS, with four-way adjustable front seats, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and an adjustable day/night rearview mirror. Every Equinox comes with the Chevy Safety Assist package, which includes a Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking with Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with a Lane Departure Warning, and more. The LS also has an exclusive Midnight Edition available that features improved 18-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, front and rear black bowtie emblems, and a unique black grille for added style and presence. The LS is a terrific way to go if you’re looking for a simple subcompact with all of Chevy’s best essentials.

The Chevy Equinox LT

Suppose you’re looking to elevate your daily drive. In that case, the Equinox LT is a great choice with several excellent upgrades over the LS. For starters, the LT has body-color mirror caps on the outside mirrors for an added touch of style and deep-tinted rear glass, giving it a bolder overall look. LED daytime running lamps on the LT look great and are ideal for cloudy days and improved visibility in other low-light conditions, while available roof-mounted side rails enhance the overall look of this Equinox model. You get a programmable power liftgate on the LT that opens with the touch of a button, with memory height functionality that lets you adjust it to meet your needs perfectly.

Inside the LT, we find a number of upgrades over the starting features, such as an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat and heated front seats. You get a wrapped steering wheel for an extra touch of style, along with an impressive 4.2-inch multi-color Driver Information Center screen. Best of all, the Driver Confidence II package included with the LT upgrades its safety tech to include a Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, a Rear Cross Traffic Alert to warn you when a vehicle is approaching as you’re backing up, and Front and Rear Park Assist to make parking safer and easier. The LT is the way to go if you’re looking for a little more without going overboard.

The Chevy Equinox RS

If you like the LT’s overall features but are interested in a more stylish Equinox with some unique details, then you should look at the RS trim. For starters, this beauty has unique RS badge ornamentation to make it stand out from the other trims on this list when out on the road, along with front and rear black bowtie emblems for a bolder look. The RS rides on 19-inch wheels that give it a stronger, more aggressive overall stance, and it comes with roof-mounted side rails and LED tail lamps to create a gorgeous silhouette with excellent visibility.

Moving inside, you find many details similar to the LT, such as the heated front seats and eight-way power driver’s seat. However, the RS goes further with premium cloth seating and the wrapped steering wheel we mentioned. That’s gorgeously comfortable. One of our favorite details on the RS is the available jet-black perforated leather-appointed seating with red accents; this creates a striking and powerful interior that’s inviting and empowering. All of this comes together to create a fantastic trim for the Equinox that delivers street style you can’t find anywhere else. This is an excellent pick if you want some unique looks without choosing an available special edition.

The Chevy Equinox Premier

Finally, we have the Premier, the highest trim available for the Chevy Equinox, and it beautifully represents everything Chevy has to offer. Certain differences are immediately apparent as you approach the Premier, such as the turn signal indicators integrated into the heated power-adjustable side mirrors. You might not notice it at first, but the Premier features a hands-free gesture liftgate that you can open and close by placing your foot under the rear bumper, making it incredibly practical for use when your hands are full.

Inside the Equinox Premier, we have an upgraded interior that features a gorgeous eight-inch infotainment display, with available options that include Navigation functionality and a Bose seven-speaker premium sound system. One of our favorite things about the Premier is its stunning Redline Edition, available exclusively for this pinnacle trim. The Redline Edition features 19-inch Black wheels with red accents, black center caps for a striking first impression, and black bowtie emblems and badges with red outlines to make them pop. Redline decals on the exterior mirrors add a unique touch to the design, while a Redline-specific black grille plus black window surrounds and door handles help to draw your eye to Redline’s interior. On the inside, the “Black Ice” interior accents beautifully complement the exterior details, creating a unique ride that catches the eye and captures the imagination.
